The shores of Lake Balaton, shady camping places, private beach and the tempting delicacies of beach buffets create the feeling of what we call “Balaton summer”. The waterfront is calling – along with Balaton hake, ice cream, bike tours, lookout points, and countless other adventures waiting to be discovered. Everyone’s idea of relaxation is different, but you probably don’t want to sit at home or sweat it out at work during the hottest months.
Zamárdi is often referred to as the summer capital, as it’s packed with programmes and attractions that spice up your days off with real adventures. The lavender fields in Kőröshegy start to bloom in June, the Balaton Crossing returns on 12 July, and from 17 to 20 July, the 11th Rosé Festival takes place. We’re already looking forward to the buzz of August too – the Balatoni Játszadalom will be held from 7 to 10 August, followed by the STRAND Festival from 20 to 23 August.
Zamárdi has everything you need to really experience summer, all you need is the ideal accommodation. Freedom is like art – it holds individuality and spontaneity within. If you have a caravan parked at the end of your yard, there’s no question of how to do it, you just need to choose a perfect camping place on the waterfront. But even if you don’t have your own vehicle, you don’t have to miss out on this out-of-the-ordinary adventure.

Which camping place do you choose?
We will normally give you the pitch number, but you can also choose a specific camping place for a fixed booking fee. This option is also practical if you need more pitches because you have a large group. You can also book a camping place close to each other using the fixed reservation. Of course, availability is limited, so don’t hesitate for too long. There are only good choices here. This is guaranteed by the pale blue bar on the map. Yes, that’s Lake Balaton. Mirabella Camping is really on the beach. It’s summer, and the available pitches are running out by the minute.

Beach pitch
Our beach pitches offer uninterrupted views of Lake Balaton. The peaceful, pleasant waterfront atmosphere is all around and you can enjoy the sunset lights and the view of the Tihany peninsula directly from the front row. It really is a fairytale camping place where you can sleep to the sound of the waves.
The price of a camping place includes a motorhome pitch, or a caravan and accompanying car, or a tent and car pitch; for an extra charge you can bring an extra vehicle, tent, gazebo and pet.
- Beach pitch – 100 m² This panoramic camping place is ideal for up to 8 people.
- The spacious 130 square metre beach pitch can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people.
Standard caravan pitch
We have four different sizes of pitches, so come with your family, big or small, with friends, with a large group, you’ll have a great place to relax on the beach. There is no extra charge for the electricity hook-up, it comes with the camping place, so bring an extension cord if you want to use it.
In addition, the price for each pitch includes: space for a caravan or a motorhome and a towing car. If you want to camp, you can bring a tent and a car instead of a caravan.
- Pitches of 60-79 m² and 80-99 m² can be booked for up to 6 people.
- The 100 m² pitches can accommodate up to 8 people.
- For larger parties of up to 10 people, the extra large 130 m² pitch is recommended.
Comfort caravan pitch
Comfort-loving adventurers should definitely click here when making a reservation. Comfort pitches are available in two sizes and in addition to electricity, water and sewage connections are included in the price of the camping place. Handy if you want a private, comfortable place with everything you need on site.
The price of the comfort pitch includes a spot for either a motorhome or a caravan and its towing vehicle, or a tent pitch and a space for a car. For an extra fee, you can bring an extra car, additional tent, gazebo and pets.
- Comfort pitch – 100 m² This camping place can be booked for up to 8 people.
- The 130 m² comfort pitch can accommodate up to 10 people. If you have a big group, this is the one for you.

Classic camping experiences include evening barbecues around the fire pits, stargazing conversations, delicacies in the cooler, intimate contemplation and many other precious moments. But there is also the most iconic type of accommodation – the tent.

Want to camp in a tent?
You can choose between a standard tent place (max. 4 people) or a large tent place (max. 6 people), and you can pick your spot upon arrival based on availability. If you want a fixed camping place, you must reserve a pitch. The basic price is per tent, the personal fees are charged separately.

The local restaurant, two buffets, a lakeside bar, and a convenience store provide you with everything you need during your stay.

- You’ll also find air-conditioned mobile homes with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, and private terraces. At reception, you can request a free baby-kit that includes a crib, high chair, and baby bath, so you don’t have to bring these from home.
- At Mirabella Camping’s private beach area, you’ll also find a fenced dog-friendly beach – unique in Zamárdi. Here, your furry friends can vacation with you and even enjoy a refreshing dip on hot summer days.
- This campsite is a true paradise for watersport lovers! You can sharpen your surfing skills on-site with the enthusiastic instructors from the Windsurfcenter, or even start as a beginner. By the end of your holiday, you could even earn an international surfing license. Additionally, SUPs are available to rent right on the shore.
- You simply can’t say no to Zamárdi’s beautiful landscapes and the bike paths around Lake Balaton. You can also rent bikes at reception. Where to pedal first? Make the Kőhegyi Lookout your first destination! From there, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Balaton, stretching from Tihany to Badacsony. A sunset photo is a must!
